Why Silk?
In general, due to high strength and elastic properties of silk fibers, they are especially useful in applications requiring low weight and high strength.
Skin Health
• Moisturise Absorb: Regarding that silk fibers are capable to absorb moisture up to 30% in a way they will not be wet, they may be used for protecting body skin and especially, dry skins; therefore, they result in higher transparency and less wrinkles.
• No allergy: Regarding that no artificial material is use in production process of silk fibers ad that they are free from dust or fine particles, rarely natural silk fibers sensitivity has been reported. It is also applicable for sensitive skins and it acts as a healer for skin diseases such as eczema.
Skin Nourishment : Silk fibers are rich in protein and 18 types of amino acids which delay aging process of skin.
* Silk does not absorb moisture from skin and hair like cotton. Silk bears least static electricity among fibers.
Hair Health
It is not only an allegory to have a hair like silk; but, research findings showed that consumption of silk clothing, pillows filled with silk fibers or covered with natural silk cloth results in keeping hair style.
Application in textile and clothing industries
One of the special and unique properties of silk fabrics, which has distinguished them from the other fabrics, deals with their appropriateness to be used in four seasons of the year; i.e. they are warm in winter and cool in summer. Therefore, if they will be used in layers of warm clothing, they do not add volume of cloths due to their light weight, thinness and delicacy.
Calm Sleep and Health

Regarding features of silk fibers in heat exchange, application of silk underwear or bed linen bears positive effects in reducing hot flashes symptoms in adult women.
Jewellery
Regarding brightness of silk fibers and reflection of light and color in different angles, anti allergy properties, lightness and its high fiber strength, silk fibers have been used in ornamentals in singular form or in combination with gemstones.
Industrial and Medical Applications
Since last times, silk fibers and textiles have been used in medical, pharmaceutical, military and other industries. Nevertheless in recent years, medical engineering has been taking advantage of reverse engineering in silk production method and presented new approaches such as bone implants, optical transmission conductors, electronic chips installable on fruit and food materials, recyclable containers, etc.
